The Peak of Luxury (and convenience) in Taos Ski Valley, New Mexico

Luxury is the word most associated with the Edelweiss Lodge and Spa in Taos Ski Valley, New Mexico that you find in all the Frommers, Yelp and Expedia guides and reviews. While I think that is very accurate I would have to add convenience as well. Once you finish your trek to the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and make it into the heated underground parking at the Edelweiss, your done. After that it's all Luxury and Convenience. It's slopeside so you just have to take your skis from the Ski Valet and your on the slopes.

The food is prepared by world class chefs who are painstaking in their commitment to excellence and creativity. The Spa is a combination of indulgence with massages, hot tubs and beauty treatments, the other side is about really working out, it's a well equiped gym with state of the art treadmills, exercycles and  superb quality free weights.The bar is one of the Apres ski social centers the Ski Valley, with a world class wine list and a supply of all the great spirits the world has to offer.  Convenient to all the restaurants, shops and service in the tiny mountain hamlet, it a great place to stay.

My personal favorite aspect of the Edelweiss is the people who work there. From the General Manager Kent Forte, to Kwalimu who is "face" of the Edelweiss  at the front desk, the staff of the Edelweiss is infused with enthusiasm and a genuine commitment to making each guests stay a memorable experience.
